How to avoid scratching PCB during assembly process?

Have the motherboard on the motherboard's box or on a soft rubber mat.

Just be careful with it and don't bang it on anything. Just use common sense. There's no need to do anything special.

Have the motherboard on the motherboard's box or on a soft rubber mat.

We need to place the motherboard onto 4 standoffs to tighten it and often we will carelessly scratch it when we try to match the fastener hole on board with the standoffs. Is there any fool proof way to avoid it. I know it is common sense to just be careful while carry out this process but I wish to understand more about the fool proof method. Thank you in advanced.
