Previously available partitioned/formatted HD now shows needs formatte

I have a seagate 250 GB HD thats partitioned into 5 drives, one of which I store all my pictures. Its worked great for the longest time now when I try to access it I get the message Drive not formatted do you wish to format it now? I do not wish to format it because Ill loose all thats on there, 2+ years of pics of my son (if I loose them Ill be a dead man my wife will kill me!) Any help on how to access the drive without formatting it? or any reason it would suddenly show it needs to be formatted?

Try GetDataBack from Runtime.org.
It's the easiest thing in the world for a hard drive to get corrupted, that's why so many people round here recommend a good backup policy; without one your data is always at risk.
