Since the developer's"did not inspire confidence" then you are sort of on your own to figure out if having both apps co-existing, running/installed installed together will work.
If something goes wrong one manufacturer may simply blame the other. And you/the laptop left hanging....
Not sure about your working environment per se.
In any case, what I suggest is to plan out a series of tests that represent concerns about the laptop's security: physical and otherwise. Controlled "what if's?"......
Then install both apps and run the tests. Easy scenarios first, then "worst case" scenarios thereafter.
Be prepared and ready to do a full reinstalls, recovery, etc. should either of the software apps cause conflicts of any sort or some test busts the system.
Likely that your tests will be more rigorous than the manufacturers.
If me, I would try to make sure of that......
One way of knowing more (maybe) would be to read the fine print (EUAs, Terms and Conditions, etc.) regarding each of the applications being considered.
Be critical - look for what is said as well as what is not said.
