[SOLVED] Price Reduction of High-performance sub-1300 dollar B550 build

Hi!

I'm building a new AMD PC and my budget is about 1300 dollars. My list is currently 1400 dollars, and I need to reduce it a bit. How can I save 100-200 dollars without sacrificing performance?

What I can't sacrifice:

• Wifi on the motherboard
• RGB on the RAM
• USB-C on the mobo
• RTX graphics

Do you really need the 3900X? The 3700X is a great gaming/streaming CPU and far cheaper. Also the memory you picked was too slow so I added a 3600/CL17 32gb kit. That NVMe is a bit too pricey, swapped to Crucial P2 NVMe.

These changes put you under $1300.

Thank you! I agree, the RAM speed was one thing I overlooked. So if I downgrade the CPU to a 3700x, will there be a noticeable difference in applications like video editing/rendering and multitasking productivity work?

The additional cores/threads could help but for the budget the 3700X is the ideal price to performance CPU.
