Info Price vs Performance scatter chart May 2020

Sep 14, 2015
Here is the price vs performance XY chart based on the article GPU Hierarchy: Graphics Cards Benchmarked and Ranked from May 2020

Prices are taken from PCpartpicker. Bubble size represents memory size in GB

The Radeon Fury X is omitted because I couldn't found a price.

Here is the same chart in logarithmic scale

-Best buy on the cheapest cards is the RX 580. For less money, you almost save nothing and lose most of the performance and memory.
Then follows
-1660 Super
-RX 5700
-RX 5700 XT (Unles you want the raytracing of the RTX 2070, and are willing to sacrifice some performance)
-2070 Super (unless you want the giant memory of the Radeon VII)

The RX 5700 is a great buy, because for little money over the 2060/5600, you get more memory for extra little money.

The RX 5700 XT is the knee of the curve. Beyond it you have to pay U$S 100 for each 4% increase in performance. It is only worth if you want ray tracing.
