Prices going up?

I now see the regular price in Canada for the i5 4690k is showing well above the $250 mark for the regular price. On NCIX they have the regular price set to $311.22 as of now. It's on special for 249.99, lol. 2 weeks ago I swear the regular price was at 249.99 and it would go on sale for 229.99 on a regular basis.

Same with motherboards. I was eying up the MSI z97 Gaming 5 two weeks ago when the regular price was at $159.99, and now it's on special for $179.99 showing the regular price as 189.99.

Maybe the companies are trying to recoup losses from black friday sales, or the demand overall drove the price up? I am not only seeing this trend on NCIX though, I've also seen the same on Newegg. One site in particular has the i5 4690k set to over $350, which is ridicules.

I hope this isn't Intel deciding to drastically increase prices since there is barely any competition from AMD. Thoughts?

Solution
the i5-4690k has been $209 on newegg for a couple weeks and still is. prices rise and fall with demand, age, sales and such.

just keep a look out for parts you want and nab them when the price is right. black friday/cyber monday prices should not be considered normal and they should go back up this week until the big christmas push in another week.
Just recovering some money after the Black Friday.
Especially that Christmas is coming, and consumerism is a very big thing now.
Most of the kids nag their parents for some new stuff, including PC parts.
Just wait till January for this to blow over.
