I'm new to everything.

prime B550M-A
says it has something to do with rgb.

  • Aura Sync RGB: Onboard addressable Gen 2 header for RGB LED strips, easily synced with Aura Sync-capable hardware
I wonder if this matters. maybe it only syncs every lights color from keyboard mouse to pc case fans only. thus sync.
maybe fans work on their own ?

prime B550M-K
doesn't

Never built my own rgb pc. I wonder if the fans light up if the motherboard somehow lights it up ? I used to think fans itself has lights and lights up on their own having lightings.

gotta be very nervous, imagine buying wrong.

That board has neither RGB nor ARGB (Addressable RGB) headers on it, so it cannot do ANYTHING with any type of fan, strip, memory or anything else that requires a control system. You would have to purchase a third party, add in RGB or ARGB controller to use with any kind of lighting, or purchase a case that has an integrated controller for fans, light strips, etc. if you wanted to use those. The board isn't going to work with neither RGB or ARGB fans of any kind because it has no such controller or connections.
