Hi guys! So i have a cooler master hyper 212 evo and a m5a97 le r 2.0 motherboard. So because of the cooler everything stays cool ( motherboard around 30 degrees celsius and my fx around 48 degrees). My problem is that while running prime95 i have sudden drops from 4ghz to 1.4ghz. Do you guys know what can cause this to happen? Thanks.

Yeah, sounds like throttling. Use AMD Overdrive's thermal margin for measuring temperature as AMD CPU temperatures are notoriously error-ridden using software. I would not be using Prime95 with this CPU on this board; the LE version of this motherboard skimps on the heatsinks and is a 4+2 power phase design. With AM3+, companies really pushed the motherboard specs in claiming compatibility with the 125W CPUs.
