A week ago I was playing bf4 at 4ghz and got clock_watchdog_timeout error(never had this in any game even arma 3), so I underclocked to 3.7 and all was good. But Im switching back to 4ghz because Its alot more playable. While running prime I got 1 error 0 warnings on worker 5. My temps are at 17c during prime. Im wondering why my 5th core is hopping between 5-10% cpu usage while all my other cores are 100%. Btw I havent updated my bios in a minute.
Amd phenom x6 1100t 4ghz
Crosshair v formula
8gb ram
Gtx 960

the clck speed of that CPU is 3.3Ghz, have you overclocked it? Try turning the voltage up by a tiny amount in BIOS and see if it helps.

Oh and 17c cant be right, your CPU will be hitting 30c minimum in prime, check your temps again.

I'm hoping this will lower my temps and allow me to be a 3.9ghz, I'm doing this because arma 3 runs better with a 4 core cpu especially if there's more power to them. And bf4 will run a lot more efficiently. I'll keep you posted to see how it goes

if it works at present then you can, you'll lose CPU power doing that though. 1.5v is a bit high but should be ok, dont take it any higher. I recommend that you get a water cooler for the CPU, its going to help a lot, seidon v2 or another small one like that will do.
