hi all. I have my cpu currently overclocked at 4.45ghz. was at 4.5 at one stage. :hello:

using prime, it told me that there is an error at least 6 minutes in to the test.

It reads:
[Tue May 19 16:03:51 2009]
Self-test 1024K passed!
Self-test 1024K passed!
FATAL ERROR: Final result was F65CBA11, expected: 26C78657.
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
FATAL ERROR: Final result was 74B93A54, expected: 26C78657.
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

I think that it is a voltage problem. not sure though... that is why i am asking around. 😱

I recently upgraded my ram from 800 to 1066. before upgrading though, prime told me that i had a memory problem, expecting 4 but returned as 5, or something. i knew it was a over clock issue as ddr2 800 did not like a fsb of 420

any help would be good and much obliged.

If P95 is failing while overclocked, you need to either find out why, or back your OC settings down. Your specs do not say what kind of memoryyou have. If you are going for an extreme OC, it really makes a difference.

What are your voltage settings, memory settings, and load temperatures?

BTW, there is no JEDEC standard for DDR2-1066. All there is is DDR2-800 RAM that has been tested to run at 1066 speeds. Generally, DDR2-800 RAM that runs with 4-4-4-12 timings will run at 1066 with 5-5-5-15 timing maybe with a small VRAM boost.
----------
Overclocking since 1978 - Z80 (TRS-80) from 1.77 MHz to 2.01 MHz

at 4.45ghz, my load temps are idle: 20-25o celcius. load is about 40 to 45.
have kingston ddr2 1066 memory.
in bios, all voltages set to auto, as mobo does it for me. (cpuz reports cpu core voltage as 1.360v.)
ill also add that p95 also gave me more error codes but are basically the same as in first post.

The errors messages themselves do not have any bearing on your overclock. All it means is that your processor and/or system is unstable.

You can narrow down the unstable part of your overclock by using 2 different tests with Prime95.

Use SmallFTT, if it fails, the problem most likely is your vcore.
Use Blend, if it fails, then troubleshoot your NB voltage, memory voltage, or timings.

should also through in that my memory runs at 5-5-5-18 timing. this right or not
