prime95 not using 100% cpu usage

this is my first ever post on this site so sorry if I do some stupid stuff.


but basically prime 95 isnt using 100% when i run a stress test.

it uses 100% for about 30 seconds then it goes down to 70%-80%ish.

my processor is a quad core amd 860k which I've OCed to 4.4ghz (3.7ghz stock) using an hyper 212x. it also has 4 threads.

windows also recognizes that its a quad core (4 graphs) and in prime95 I've put 4 in the number of torture threads to run .


any help? please feel free to ask me for any more info if you need it.

as you can see overdive sees its at 100% cpu usage but resource monitor sees it lower.

I have same problem A10-7850k after overclock, 2 cores work on 100% and 2 other cores on 70% with prime95
