I overclocked my Q9550 2830 to 3400 MHz.
Updated FSB from 333 to 400 and increased the voltages.
I thought the faster clock speed would increase the performance and reduce the iteration time to test an exponent.
However, when I run Prime95, it reports the same amount of time per iteration as before the overclock.
Is this correct? Should Prime95 run faster on an overclocked machine than a non-overclocked machine?
Is there a setting in Prime95 I need to change?
Thanks!
