Question Prime95 Thermal Testing

When running Prime95 small FFT’s for thermal overclock testing should I set my CPU cooler fans to max prior or auto?

Unless you run with your fans at max normallyI would leave them how they are normally set.

Cpu gets hot. Case heats up. Motherboard makes the fans spin faster.

Only reason to do it manually is if your case fans are attached to a manual control, like a speed switch or controller. If the fans are connected to the motherboard, they'll run as the motherboard tells them too.
