I have a Macintosh desktop with Os X version 10.6.8 software. My printer is an HP Officejet J4580 All-in-one. It shows

You helped me solve the problem. The printer was connected via WiFi which was offline, and once I solved the problem with my WiFi the printer problem was resolved.
