printer problems loud and wasting paper

Hello my printer seems to be making strange noises and chewing up paper every time I try to print I don't under stand why this is happening could someone please help me?

look online for the cleaning and removing the cover videos for your model. start with a paper jam under the print head.
with the printer off and the print head off the home stop see if it moves fine. hp printers some of them use a opti sensor for home and end position. if the sensor fails or the logic board the printer most times makes grinding and slamming sounds.
