New here, so sorry if this has been found.

Has anyone ever figured out how to keep printers from going "offline" in Windows 7/8?
Symptom - You go to print. You are informed the printer is "offline".
The ONLY resolution is to delete the printer and re-add it (and you have to use a different printer name because the printer name you had previously used is not available) and re-start your print job.
Doesn't make a difference if it is hardwired through a router or hooked via WiFi.
Something in Windows spooler I assume throws a shoe.
This happens both at home and at work, but only on the Windows 7/8 32 and 64 bitPCs. Haven't had it happen in Windows 10 64 bit.

Very annoying and frustrating.

At home - HP laser M3035 connected to a Gigafast switch. HP all-in-one PC connected to the same switch.

At work - Dell Optiplex tower connected to a Netgear router/wifi. Brother MFC printer connected to same router/switch.
