printing Adobe pdf & tmp error message

When I print pdf and tmp files, I receive an error message saying, "the document could not be printed." When I click "ok," then I receive the following message: "there were no pages selected to print."

You didn't say which program you're trying to print from. There's Adobe Acrobat Reader, Edge Browser, recent versions of Office, and Office Online. Which one are you using, and have you tried any of the others?

The pdf files I'm printing from Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and the tmp files are being printed from notepad

Try opening the PDF with Edge or Office. The PDF could be corrupted, but you ought to get an error message if that's the case.
