I am very new in my understanding of computers. I am doing the books for my
father's business in quickbooks and want to be able to prepare the payroll on
my computer and print the checks on his printer.
-Is this possible (I believe it is?)
-Which version of windows will I need on both computers?
-how easy is it to set up and where can i get a guide for beginners like
me?
I am using gotomypc.com and am not able to print files from my computer to
their printer. Or should I be able to.
-If I am wrong altogether is there any other solution?

Answers in my opinion:

possible YES.

2 Windows XP Pro on office computer, XP pro or Home on your computer, if
using Home Edition need to download RDP component from MS.

3. If you are as new as you say you are Remote Desktop can be confusing due
to firewalls routers, etc. (trial and Error) and lot's of use of newsgroups
and MS website.

I use Peachtree as you describe, and it works fine using Remote Desktop.

Only problem on His end is making sure printer is setup for checks.
