printing with new printer

Hi All

I have recently installed a new printer on a windows 7 PC this is a PLC monitoring PC it has about 40 things it needs to print but it is trying to send it to the old printer (VERY BROKEN) is there a way I can make the computer send all this data to a new printer?

Go into Control Panel --> Devices and Printers.

Select the new printer as the default device.

yeah I did that when I set it up but it is still trying to send it to the old printer.

If you rebooted your system and it's still trying to print to the wrong priinter, it sounds like the software you're attempting to print from has the printer hard coded.

got it

had to create a LAN port in the old printer to the new printers IP address so it thought it was printing to the old one but was forwarded to the new 1

yeah I did the restart, default printer, all the normal things but just couldn't get it
