Hi I have

Extreme 4 970
280x OC 3gb
700 watt PSU
Athleon X3 2.6
Ghz

When I start playing games GPU heats to about 50-60 and PC shuts off completely, can't switch back on until cord pulled

Been stuck for days and have checked all temps of everything else is fine.
Only GPU goes to about 60 then switches PC off

But is it the PSU OR GPU please help someone

Problem sounds like a poor/failing PSU. I cant really find anything on the unit, and never heard of the brand(and apparently neither has google) so there's a good chance its a generic unit that has a local rebrand.

So PSU is looking like the culprate.
What's a god recommended watt?

For what you have a good 550w PSU would be good. 550w XFX or the 550w EVGA GS.
