PRL 50183 has been released and here are the changes compared to PRL
50175. Some of the details of the SIDs were obtained from
www.justalurker.com and www.mountainwireless.com and
http://www.ifast.org/SIDtables.htm
Some changes in priority and changes from A to D/A may not be noted
along with any other changes that I may have missed.

This is rather an extensive change. There were many shifts in priority
and those are not reported here. Alaska coverage seems to be improved
and other changes in a variety of states. Overall it looks to be an
improvement over the previous PRL.

Oooookay, I can understand adding analog coverage in Tuscarawas County.
But in Columbus? Verizon has good coverage in Columbus.

Steven,
Coincidently, I was roaming on SID 138 just a few weeks ago. Verizon
ceertainly does not need help in Columbus, but where I was, Muskingum
County, there is no Verizon service, and I was beyond their primary roaming
partner, Sprint PCS. That also happens in Perry County, but this year, I
could still get a weak Alltel signal.

In areas with such poor service as you find in southern rural Ohio, they
need as much help as they can get. I for one am thrilled that Cingular SID
138 has been added. The only reason I landed there was that my B-based
phone ended up on the "B" default channel after finding no other signal
(north of Zanesville).

My general experience has been that even though this part of SID 138
has been listed as "Columbus", it likely covers some rural counties
that feed out of Columbus...as you note.

Southeast Ohio is one of VZW's weak spots, and I'd guess that the
Cingular SID covers a lot of territory east and south of Columbus.
