I've recently bought a 9600Pro (at least, that's what they say it is) from Club3d. Now, the weird thing is that the card itself has the lay-out of a non-pro (no square memory-chips and so) and the pcb has three little squares on it and behind those squares there are the numbers 64, 128, and 256, the square standing before 128 is marked (obviously indicating the amount of ram). When I tested the radeon in my pc it said it was a 9600Pro, but when i used Rage3D it said it had the Core speed at 400Mhz and the memory at 200 (400 DDR). This is very weird and I hope you guys can help me out what to do next. (I'm planning on sending it back and I already sent a complaint at the shop from which I bought this weird card).

BTW my 3DMark2001 SE score is 8760

See if you can clock it back up to normal. If not, set the clock speeds to normal and rend it back.

nVidia cheated on me so I left her for ATi. ATi's hotter anyway...

It's likely something ass crappily similar as a GIGACUBE (blah!) card. Check out these specs listed at OC NZ;

Look at their Pro-lite and C3 versions.

and DON'T try to overclock it to regular levels you will definitely fry that TSOP (POS) memory!

Sorry but it's simply a straightjacketed R9600. It'll perform OK, but nowhere near either of the BBA cards.

- You need a licence to buy a gun, but they'll sell anyone a stamp (or internet account) ! RED GREEN GA to SK :evil:

So far I've managed to get the core up the 500Mhz without artifacts, I haven't tried the memory yet, but my guess is that the memory really bottlenecks this card. Because I hardly reached 9000Marks at 500core speed...
