Im getting myself a new card and have been looking towards an ATI radeon 9600 pro/xt but have noticed another card the radeon 9600pro ultimate priced about 20 gbp more than the xt. Does anyone know how much more performance you would get from one of these instead of the pro/xt
thanks

A 9600 pro ultimate will have the same performance as a 9600 PRO.
It's just quieter... absolutely silent due to the heat-pipe cooler, no audible fans. That's why it's more expensive.

The XT is faster.

Depends on your definition of "noticably". Check benchmarks. It's usually about a 3% difference in most benchmarks. IMO not worth the extra price, but an XT v. a Pro at the same price is a no-brainer.

Where there's a will, there's a way-even when it comes to screwing up.

I'd say in the 9600's... it's not worth the extra money (the xt) if you are going all the way up to 9800 pro 256 then I'd say its worth the money to go xt.
