I visited with a professional photography who does fantastic work.;
simply beautiful. She told me that she has seen results fade with both
dye based and pigmented based inkjet printers.

She recommends a wide format dye sublimation printer claiming that
fading would not be a problem.

Actually, that very much depends. Until recently dye-sub printers had
some of the most fugitive "inks" in them. The dyes, by their very
nature, change state from solid to gaseous, that's how they work.

Many were only CMY, today they are CMYK-UV, on some that adds a black
channel and a over-surface that has UV inhibitors in it. ALso, the dye
sub paper is unique and as such I don't know what testing has been
accomplished on it.

Lastly, although it is true both dye and pigment colorant inks can fade,
most pigment inks are much more stable than dye, and certainly more
stable than most dye sub images.

"opion?"

Just straightening out the facts ... should that be "opium" or "opinion"?
