I just tried to get an answer to my problem at Asus tech. All I got is can you hear me, can you hear me. So maybe you can help me here.

Here is the System I'm setting up.
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
Asus ProArt X570 Creator WI-FI
CORSAIR - CMW128GX4M4D3000C16(Ver 3.43)

My problem is the manual. I'm trying to determine the right ADM on page 1-12, as listed below. I think my AMD would be the first Listing. I added a start at the beginning of the line.

My problem is it only lists 2 M.2 connections. My board has 3 connectors that are M.2 .

* AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series and 3000 Series Desktop Processors:
⦁ NI.2J slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCle 4.0 x4 & SATA modes)
• M.2_2 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280 (supports PCle 4.0 x4)

AMD Ryzen™ 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series, and 2000 Series Processors:
⦁ M.2_1 Slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCle 3.0 x4 & SA IA modes)
⦁ M.2_2 Slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280 (supports PCle 3.0 x4)

AMD Ryzen1“ 3000 G-Series and 2000 G-Series Processors:
⦁ M.2_1 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCle 3.0 x4 & SATA modes)

AMD X570 Chipset:
⦁ M.2_3 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCle 4.0 x4 & SATA modes)
PC1EX16_2 slot share bandwidth with M.2_2, which runs at PCle 4.0/3.0 x8 by (default. When M.2_2 is enabled, PCIEX16_2 will run PCle 4.0/3.0 x4 mode.
M.2_3 shares bandwidth with SATA6G_5~6. If M.2_3 is populated by an NVMe (device, SATA6G_5-6 will be suspended. It M.2_3 is operating in SATA mode, then |M.2_3 and SATA6G_5-6 will all be able to support SATA devices. Please adjust this item in the BIOS settings.

That would be correct since you have a 5950X which is a Ryzen 5000 series CPU.

But it would also be the fourth, or last, listing in addition to the first. That's because the third socket gets it's PCIe lanes from the X570 chipset.

The simple part is all the M.2 ports are PCIe gen 4 capable since you have a 5000 series CPU and X570 chipset. But where it gets really difficult is trying to figure out what you get when you start mixing SATA drives on the SATA ports with NVME drives in the M.2 sockets. Apparently some of the...

Apparently some of the PCIe slots will start losing lanes and some of the SATA ports will be disabled depending on the configuration.
