Hi, I've been lurking on TomsHardware for quite some time and decided it was time for me to ask for advice on something that I probably should've done some time back. I'm looking to upgrade my Motherboard, CPU and RAM and I believe that this community could give me the best advice when it comes to this.

My basic system specs as of now/

CPU: i7-3820 @ 3.60GHz
GPU: GTX 1080 G1
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB
RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz

I want to upgrade simply the CPU/Mobo and RAM. Any suggestions would be great. I'm simply looking to build a system that will enable me to play games such as Battlefield 1 or Overwatch or GTA V at 60-100FPS constant with no drops. Thank you.

Edit: Forgot to include which motherboard I have, oops.

Motherboard: MSI MS-7760

Well the GTX 1080 is a bit overkill for 1080p 60Hz gaming; so I would hope you have a 144Hz 1080p monitor. If you don't you might consider a monitor upgrade in the future. Whether you're at 1080p or 1440p I recommend 144Hz or higher because it is simply a better, smoother gaming experience.

Now, for the CPU/Mobo/RAM updrade.. I'd recommend the i7-8700K just for the sake of future gaming. But the i5-8600K does just as well for the most part.

Also, kinda need to know what case you have to be sure the CPU cooler fits.. or maybe you already have an aftermarket CPU cooler??

I mean, I'm willing to spend around $500-600 and as for the frames for the games, on Battlefield 1 at 1080p I sit around 60-100 depending on what's going and just how much is happening. I strictly game at 1080p only since my monitor doesn't really support anything higher and I don't see the point for higher resolution.
