I am aware that HDDs fail after sometime but I am just wondering what's the culprit of that in my case.
STORY:
Recently I noticed that my pc became randomly slow until to the point that my computer is freezing
(except for my mouse) and leaving me no choice but to restart it manually. I also often to receive notifications to fix drive issue both when booting up or while using the computer. I experienced BSOD aswell regarding memory so I decided to buy a new one after having my HDD for 1year.
To cut the story short, the NEW that I bought is showing the same symptoms after only 2 months. Did the RMA and here I am again in the same situation.
THINGS THAT I SUSPECT:
Unexpected power interruption: After searching for most common reason I found this one (at first) the most possible reason for my first HDD since there was a couple of times that I can remember that power interruption happened in my place. BUT for my second HDD which I've been only using for 2 months, interruptions have yet to happen so I doubt that this is the case.
BAD PSU: I am just using a generic 700W PSU which I never had a problem + my rig is only an A6 6xxxk + 750ti without aesthetic things attached that can rack up my pc W.
Android Emulator (KOPLAYER): I am not playing games a lot and "recently" I started playing this android emu while having online classes. It racks up my CPU usage but does emulator can be a cause of HDD failure?
Recently , I tested both HDDs using the crystalinfo and HD tune and both got warning/caution health.
QUESTION:
So what's the reason of my (failing/dying?) Hdd?
BRAND of HDDs that I used
Toshiba , Seagate.
