Hello, I builded my first pc with Intel-13gen and msi b660m pro. The thing is that I have a 60% keyboard and I can't enter the bios, besides the mouse doesn't light up and neither does the ram. did I get it right or do I just need to get a keyboard with a delete button?
ps: i know i need to update bios for 13gen but i cant.

Please explain a little more about your situation.

First, list all parts.

Second, tell us what your PC is doing. Have you installed an OS?

*Edit: Okay, now I see it looks like you assembled your PC and it isn't lighting up keyboard, mouse, or RAM. As you mentioned, you likely need to update the BIOS. That motherboard probably requires a 12th-gen CPU to do so. Even if you got a keyboard with the DEL key, if the CPU won't POST to BIOS, then you can't do anything about it.

Some motherboards allow USB BIOS update without a recognized CPU (there's a term for that, idk what it is), but I don't see where yours' does.

Bios V17 which supports next gen processors was released on 7/22.

All motherboards made after that will include at least that level.
Unless your motherboard is very old stock, you should not need to flash the bios to get going.

I don't know what a 60% keyboard is, but I suggest you buy a standard keyboard.
In time, you will want to enter the bios for such things as setting the date or boot priority.

It would help if you listed the make/model of all of your parts.

I got a standard keyboard but it doesn't work (when I connect it to the laptop it works, but it doesn't even light up on the PC. It's like it's not connected.) The motherboard is MSI B660M-P DDR4. My opinion is that the motherboard does not recognize the processor at all and does not display an image on the screen. Is the solution to put an older processor and update it and return a new one?
