So, I have a computer with 8GB of 1600MHZ Ram. Both sticks are 4GB 1600mhz. I have the Gigabyte H61M DS2 R2 Rev 1.0 Motherboard with Pentium G2030 R 3.0GHZ Cpu Dual Core. Recently, I bought an I5-3470 for my computer. When I installed it, it gave me a black screen. I tried removing CMOS battery but It didn't seem to work. At this point, I'm very confused about what to do also whenever I boot the PC with the I5-3470 it actully heats up, so it's making me think that the processor is fine. It's probably another problem. Also, my motherboard supports 1333MHZ ram but yeah it downclocked those 1600mhz to 1333mhz. Please help me guys

What is a "Pentium G2030 R ?
Is it installed in some sort of proprietary motherboard?

If it should work, remove the processor and carefully inspect the cpu socket for damaged pins. It is all to easy to damage a pin if you needed to smoosh the chip around to get it seated.

Pentium G2030 (R) 3.00GHZ Dual Core. There is no dents on the processor also I have the B75 motherboard. It comes out with the latest update for ivy bridge support
