Problem after installing new i7-7700, screen wont turn on!

I've been messing around for hours trying to figure out what the problem is, and I have done countless google searches. About 5 hours ago the computer was working just fine with the i5-6600k. I got my i7-7700 in the mail and I went through the lengthy process of installing it with this stupid cooler. Took forever. So I turned it on, and it was doing those dreaded boot loops. I reseated everything to stop the boot loops, and it worked, but still nothing on the monitor! I really need some help with this because I'm lost on it, and I need some help. Thanks. ALSO, the motherboard is a Gigabyte Gaming 3 z170x

Did you get the correct bios update before you switched over to the new 7700?

No, I didn't. And I don't know how to do that. Is it the same on all of them? Do I need to install the i5-6600k to do this?

You'll probably have to research the Gigabyte site for your Gigabyte Gaming 3 z170x.

And most likely you will have to put the i5-6600K back on there to do so.
