Problem Backing up my HDD to WD My Book 1 TB

hey dear fellas
i have a problem with my WD My Book Essential 1 TB
it just works fine in windows
but when i try to backup my HDD with clonezilla or other live backup tools
they don't recognize my External storage
what should i do?

it sounds like your boot dvd doesnt have your usb drivers. are you on usb3? try switching the WD to a usb2 port.

Thx man you're right , problem solved just had to download the latest clonezilla
