problem battery backup (ups) with pc power supply

i have a problem with the power supply of my pc, i have a cyberpower 1500va ups battery back up, but when there is a power failure the UPS keeps my pc on for a few minutes with battery backup and I have found that when it enters the UPS battery backup, the power supply makes a strange noise, as if he is making some effort. i dont know why happens this, my computer still on before the power failure, but the nois of the power supply it worries me.

It's not even a good quality PSU in the first place, and if it's making a funny noise that's probably not good. Perhaps in the brief moment when the UPS switches over to its battery output the voltage drop in the PSU is playing a role in this noise? I mean, really no way for us to know.

A simulated sine wave UPS will usually make odd noises with PSUs that use APFC.

If you would have purchased this pure sine wave model you wouldn't have those noises:

The issue is almost certainly the quality of the sine-wave output.

PSU's with an 80-plus rating must have a PFC circuit. These require a high quality AC sinewave.

Cyberpower has "PFC" rated models specifically that are meant for this.

i no have money to other ups, i have this ups since december 2015. is there any solution to fix the problem with the imcompatibility of the simulated sine wave; and that can happen in the future if I leave my computer with the ups and there is a power failure?

As others have said it is just the waveform of the ups. I will not hurt anything for the amount of time most systems are on battery power.

My APC Backups XS1200 does the same thing, but my SmartUPS 1400 does not since it is sinewave. I have never had an issue, but I do not tend to run systems long term on battery.
