Problem booting computer

Hello, i have a vaio laptop. usually when i start up my compute it gives me 4 options to load an os. i usually only use windows 7, but i needed win xp for a school project, so i booted using xp this time. oops!!!! it asked me to do a system restore and i thought it would be ok so i did. then when restarting the boot shows now: error no such partition.

i have tried using a live cd from ubantu but it ignores the cd and comes up with the same message. after some research i can use the command line ls and get (hd0) (hd0,3) (hd0,2) (hd0,1) is there any thing i can do? i am a complete noob. thanks for any help!
