Problem changing RAM Frequency from 1333mhz to 2133mhz

Hello, i have some question here. i have surfed all over the forum and couldn't find the solution for this.

Motherboard : Gigabyte P67-DS3-B3 (Socket 1155) rev 1.0 (which support 2133mhz RAM as i saw on their website for this motherboard type)
RAM : Corsair Vengeance Pro (2x8GB) PC17000 (2133mhz)

i try to manually change the frequency on the BIOS from 1333mhz to 2133mhz and when i "Safe and exit" the computer always fails to boot and there is a message :

"The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes in voltage. Last settings in BIOS setup my not coincide with H/W states."

and i tried to change it to 1600mhz, it works fine.

i need an advice on How do i change it to 2133mhz, because according to the specs, my motherboard and RAM supported to do so.

While the mobo plays in the defining component is the CPU (specifically the MC (Memory Controller) in the CPU). For 2133 on a P67 you'll need a K model CPU and it may take a slight OC on the CPU - so what CPU?

Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

For 2133 OC to to about 4GHz then enable XMP in BIOS, select profile 1 and should be good

"OC to about 4GHz" did u mean my CPU Clock Ratio on BIOS? which is now 34x or 3.4Ghz?

Yes, if the DRAM is stable at that can lower the OC if you wish, go down 1 at a time on the CPU multiplier

i tried change to 4Ghz and 4.1Ghz. and XMP profile 1 but still fail to boot with same message. what must i do next?

Do you habve the latest BIOS?

i think yes. i've tried to look at gigabyte's website and for my motherboard type they said the latest BIOS version is F5

Might try bumping to 4.1 or 4.2

i tried for that too and still didn't work . so sad

With the OC in place try manually at 1866 with the same timings

Leave the CPU OC as is, we were going to go to 4.1 or 4.2 earlier

oh so i try with 4.2 ghz and 1866 DRAM frequency?

tried at 4.2 ghz with 1866 mhz still cant

it only went fine at 1600 mhz. im very sure my motherboard (according to the web) and ram (according to the sticker that sticks on the ram) support for 2133mhz ram.

From sounds of it, it should, maybe the CPU has a weak MC
