I have just installed a Sapphire HD6850 1GB graphics card on my system and, frankly, it's graphics quality is less than useless, so I suspect that there is either a configuration problem or some incompatibility issues - so I hope someone can help.
What I have:
Monitor: Toshiba 37BV701B
PC:
----
Motherboard: ASRock (H81M-HDS)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz (architecture: x64; 3201 MHz)
memory: 7.7 GB
Graphics card: Sapphire HD6850 1GB (GDDR5)
The TV doesn't have DVI, so I'm having to use HDMI.
I visited the AMD website and downloaded their software to detect the card and install the appropriate drivers.
After that, the card worked, but the image quality was worse than the built-in on-board graphics system which was extremely disappointing. I tried various configuration using the AMD configuration software, but this pretty much messed up the performance of the whole PC which then ran like a dog. I then couldn't correct this and so ended up restoring the system to get back to using the old graphics system.
Can anyone help (PLEASE)
Regards,
Mike
