I've been asked to set up network sharing between 2 pc's in the same room, to allow a usb3 hdd to be shared between them. One of the pc's is win10 home premium, the other is win7 home.
When I try and connect from the win7 to the win10, the pc can't be found. I can connect from the win10 to the win7 and can see the shared drive and its contents, but when I try to open anything I get a "there is a network problem" error.
I have the hdd connected with full access permissions for everyone. The pc's are on a home network on the win7, private on the win10. Network discovery, File and print sharing and Public folder sharing are all turned on. Password protected sharing is turned off.
Any suggestions are very welcome.
