Hello Dear Sir,

How are you doing???

Thanks for helping everybody out of their PC problems.

I have a final trial for your exceptional capabilities.

Let's see how do you handle something real important???

Something I have been failed to trouble shoot own my own even I have tried all kind of solutions, even regedit and uppercase and lower case removal everything in my power.

Let's see if you are good enough to solve out this issue successfully???!!! :)

I have tried to connect Hitachi + LG = HL slim portable Blu-ray Writer (with 128GB BDXL Burning capability).

Model: BP55EB40

SVC Code: EB40

Manufactured: Dec. 2021 (20-12-2021)

Rom Version: 1.03

Windows 11 Home Edition (English Version) Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1848)

I have recently reinstalled Windows 11 Home edition on both laptops MSI GE66 Raider 10SFS & MSI GL66 Pulse 12UGK.

But none of them detect the above mentioned devices (I have 6 of them) and none of them works on both laptops. It is with USB2.0 interface and both USB2 and USB3.1 ports on both laptops do not detect them and there is nothing in device manager even I have installed all drivers on both laptops and have them Windows updated to full latest capacity.

No devices appears in device manager, if it was error with one drive I cannot presume that all 6 have error???

But funny thing is that I can open HL devices by pressing button on them???

Please take your time, and if you manage to solve out this issue successfully (make appear HL BP55EB40 in Windows explorer and Device manager) then my respect will be yours.

OK??? :))))

Thanks,

Have a great weekend,

Best regards,

@yossibac & COLGeek,

Both of you are very wise guys. Especially Yossi but that applies to both of you.
You guys have come up with very wise advises.
I must say that it's a pity that none of them have seemed to work.
But they are good advises, keep on the good work please??? :)

@COLGeek,
I have totally 3 USB-A (all 3 USB3.1) on MSI GE66, while 3 totally on MSI GL66 where 2 are USB3.1 and 1 is USB2.0.

Since they are 3 ports each, I have connected (even interchanged location) 2 USB-A from HL BP55EB40, while 3rd one to USB mouse, same on both machines.
Please keep on thinking???? You may up-to something??? :)

@ Yossibac

I live in Norway.
both 3+3 drives were purchased on 1 Swedish online shop called www.Clasohlson.no, 2nd part was purchased on a Danish online shop called www.Computersalg.no through a Swedish online shop called www.CDon.com.

I have sent request to both (even in English), let's hope they answer in English in return.
2 of 6 devices have got some tear and wear.
In best case they may provide a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) /Return and refund.

Yossi, this is not a job for a whoever electronic shop-keeper to successfully fix it???
I am not very educated, but I have had a Windows PC (Desktop) since back in 1999. Since then I have stumbled upon many data problems from time to time, but never I have experienced something so difficult.

I have begun to get a feeling of that fixing this may be impossible???
Well!!! I am forced to say that answer to this question is something God only knows.

This may be a job for a software engineer or a very experience with cooding, as it's Windows 11 and even 10 are involved.

I suspect it's 22H2 update causing trouble.

But You Are right Yossi, and I agree with you.
I have a feeling for that after 20. August testing these devices on other PCs may result in success. :)
Thanks for help!!!

Btw where are you guys from???

Anyways.
Thanks a million for helping me out.
Keep on the Good Work!!!

Have a nice weekend both of you.
Best regards,
Victor
