Hello All!
In a bid to make my small home office setup completely wireless without compromising on the data transfer speed i invested in a hi speed router, 3 wireless adapters & 2 set of wireless mouse keyboard combo.
I am now regretting my decision as i have been failed miserably. Inspite of buying so expensive gadgets i am getting speed as slow as what i used to get with my basic Belkin G Wireless router which is much much cheaper as compared to this Asus product which claims data transfer rate upto 600 Mbps! Asus adapter utility shows fluctuating speed between 65 to 110 Mbps where as actual data transfer rate is around 4 to 5 Mbps only...
Products that i purchased from amazon on 19th July are
1- Asus AC1900 RT AC68U Dual-Band Wireless Gigabit Router (Black) ( http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00FB45SI4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01 )
2- Asus USB-AC55 Dual-band Wireless-AC1300 USB 3.0 Wi-Fi Adapter ( http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00VRTVIOU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01 )

My PC configuration is -
Motherboard- Asus Sabertooth X79
Processor- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU@3.20 GHz
OS- Windows 7 64 bit ( OS is Up to date )
Problem that i am facing after connecting wirelessly to my router via asus adapters are-
1- Utility shows only 2.4 Ghz i.e No 5 Ghz Channel..
2- After installing Asus adapter driver my wireless mouse & keyboard start hanging & sometimes it detects only either mouse or keyboard..
3- My USB3 ports becomes unusable i.e no pendrive or any device is functional via these ports.. even asus adapters are not detected!
What i have tried so far-
1- Upgrading router firmware
2- Upgrading adapters driver
3- Formatting & reinstalling windows
Please note, My router is not more thn 4.5m and there is absolutely nothing between them i.e no walls of any kind.. & Operating system in all my PCs are updated till date.
On my 3 desktops, all 3 adapters are showing excellent 2.4Ghz signal strength but no 5Ghz..
On my Google Nexus5 Phone it shows both 5Ghz & 2.4 Ghz channels
On My HP Pavilion 15-ab034TX Notebook with Windows 8.1 OS it shows 2.4 Ghz signal only i.e no 5Ghz.
Current status-
I have posted same details to ASUS, awaiting response.
