Problem getting HDMI display to work with graphics card.

Have an asrock z97 anniversary motherboard with an HDMI on it. Using Intel® Core™ i5-4460 Processor and when I plug my Toshiba TV into the HDMI on the board it runs fine, but I don't usually want to use my TV as a monitor so I added an old graphics card I had from an old computer (NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT) so I could plug in a DVI monitor. With the graphics card in the monitor works fine, but the computer doesn't recognize that anything is plugged into the HDMI slot. It doesn't matter if I unplug my DVI monitor, I've checked in BIOS and theres no sign of the HDMI being recognized. So I tried pulling the graphics card back out and the HDMI works fine. But its a huge hassle to open up my computer and pull out the graphics card every time I want to use my TV as a monitor, and I would like to use them together as dual monitors if it's possible. I'm out of ideas... any help or ideas would be really appriciated.

Turns out the problem was with the onboard graphics drivers, So I downloaded and installed up to date intel drivers and then changed the display settings in BIOS and now they both work independently and together!

I can live without being able to use both monitors at once, but is there any way to make my TV show up through the HDMI on the motherboard using the onboard graphics without having to take my graphics card out?
