I posted this in another thread too, but mistakenly clicked a comment that didn't help much as a solution (Mistake on my part). So, as I still have the problem I'm re-posting this.

I'm new to PC building (this being my first build). I am currently running a GTX 770 with a CS550M Corsair PSU.
It comes with 2x6+2 pins PCIe connectors.
I have one 6+2 (8) pin connected and one 6 pin connected (without the extra 2)
When powered on the light above the 6+2 pin connection is green, while the light above the 6 pin connection is red.
I believe this means that the connection is bad for that one or something along those lines?
Or do I just not have a strong enough power supply?
Or is it something else entirely?

I'd like my first build to be somewhat successful and I'd be grateful for any help, advice, or solutions.

I've tried re-inserting the wires into the graphics card, and tried making sure they were connected correctly, but still get that one red light.

If any more information about my build is needed, I'd be more than happy to provide it.

Thanks in advance.
