Solution

Can you extract the .iso to a flash drive instead of a sd card and test please?

First and foremost how did you make the USB? You have to use special software to make it bootable, you cant just drag and drop folders.

Secondly, you have two sections in BIOS to boot to USB. You have to set the flash drive as the "hard drive" and then select hard drive group as first boot device.

IT sounds like the USB boot mode may be set to UEFI.

You will have to go into your motherboard BIOS...(Usually it is entered by pressing the Delete key or else F2 when the PC first switches on)

Once you get into the BIOS, you will have to find the boot settings, and within there, you should have something regarding the boot mode which you can hopefully change to "Legacy" mode rather than UEFI mode. (Sometimes there is an option to have both).

Make sure you have legacy mode enabled....This will allow the USB stick to boot correctly in order to install Windows 7.

UEFI mode is for booting with Windows 8 media onwards.
