Problem in powering HD 7870

Hi, I have bought a whole new system to build, including a OCZ CoreXStream 500w
and a Sapphire HD 7870 Ghz Edition. The problem is that the GPU requires two Pcie 6 pin power cables and the PSU only brings one. So, is there a problem in using the adapter that comes with the GPU or does that means that it will not receive enough wattage?

Are you sure?
Will the adapter provide enough wattage?
Don't take this as an offense, but I want an answer from a graphics card master or power supply authority.

Yeah m very sure u can provide enough wattage by connecting both the molexes
I ll explain u this

It is for ensuring stable electrical current supply to the graphics card and so that the molex connector does not heat up if full power (75W) is drawn by the graphics card.

Graphics cards w/ a single 6-pin PCIe connector are designed to draw up to 75W on the x16 PCIe graphics slot and up to 75W on the PCIe power connector. So, a 100W graphics card would easily work with a single molex attached but a 145W graphics card would be more stable with two molex connectors.

The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 28 Amps or greater and have at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The OCZ ModXStream Pro Series 500W (OCZ500MXSP), with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 36 Amps and with one 6-pin and one (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is more than sufficient to power your system configuration with a single Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition graphics card.

Your OCZ500MXSP has the two connectors shown in the following picture. If you only need the 6-pin portion of the (6+2)-pin connector then you just leave the +2 pin portion unconnected.
