I have run into a problem while trying to run Control Panel. A Dialog Box
pops up, and I get the message, "An error occurred while windows was working
with the Control Panel File C:/Windows/System32/Netsetup.cpl.

Unfortunately, the Dialog Box doesn't explain how to solve the problem. Does
anybody know why the Dialog Box pops up? How to I get Control Panel to load
successfully without displaying this error message?

Set Folder Options to show hidden and system files/folders and to show
system protected files. Open Windows Explorer to the
C:\Windows\System32\folder. Rename Netsetup.cpl to oldnetsetup.cpl. At this
point, you should be able to open Control Panel.

To replace the netsetup.cpl file: Log off. Log back on again. Windows File
Protection should replace the file with a new copy. If it does not, look in
C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles for the netsetup.cpl file and copy it to the
System32 folder. If the file is not in ServicePackFiles folder, look in
C:\Windows\System32\dllcache and copy from there.
