I got a new StoreJet25M30 hard drive two days ago, I immediately formatted it(It had two partitions before now it has just one). I formatted it to burn a Windows 10 ISO file using power iso to it to fix my sister's crashed computer. After that, I Plugged it back in my PC and boom only 149gb. I tried all I could do I even contacted transcend, their solution didn't work, I tried Ease US partition recover in full mode none of that worked. Also, I formatted it like a billion times nothing worked and lastly I used cmd to delete and make a new Partition nothing worked. The main reason for asking for help is I hope there are some computer experts out there who can fix this problem for me. Here are some pictures in the link below

Try a complete disk clean and re-initalize/format process using diskpart like this:

(with the drive attached to a Windows machine open an elevated command prompt window by right clicking on command prompt and selecting run as admin, and enter these commands)
diskpart
list disk
select disk n (where n is the external drive with the issue)
clean
list disk (just to insure you are still on the desired disk, it will have an asterisk next to it)
create partition primary
select partition 1
format FS=NTFS label=<enter the name you want the drive to have here, without the <> marks>
assign letter=<enter drive letter here that you want to use>
exit

HERE is a complete diskpart syntax guide.

Hi there Kccmr,

I would agree with RealBeast. You can run the clean command and repartition it through the CMD.
If the issue persists, you can try to write zeros (process that fills in 0 value in each sector) on the drive with a third party tool. There are some threads on that in the community.

Thank you all for all your answers, Mt brother opened the hard drive and saw its actually 160gb. The buyer was a fraud, I will make sure I get him arrested.
