Hi everyone, I am writing for a problem with my graphic card that's driving me crazy:

Connecting my new DVI-HDMI cable and turning on the PC, all images are shown until the Windows logo, but after (just before desktop) monitor no longer detects any video signal.
I am sure that computer turns on and responds to commands (I hear startup sound and i can turn it off with power button on keyboard).
I tried to disable Catalyst Control Center, but problem still remains.
Drivers are updated to the latest version.
Nothing by starting in 640x480 mode, while in Safe Mode and with VGA-DVI cable problem doesn't occurs.

PS = I've one monitor only, with one DVI input only.

Video Card: ATI Radeon 6850
Monitor: SyncMaster BX 2035
O.S.: Windows 7 x64

Thank you all in advance for your help!
Steve

Have you gone to the Device manger and downloaded the latest driver for the video card? If so have you gone to the settings for screen resolution and maxed you resolution and you might want to try going into the power management and setting your monitor so that it doesn't sleep

I just realized that uninstalling ati HD 6xxx series drivers (11.8), problem doesn't occurs!
I tried to do driver cleaning with "driver sweeper" then reinstall them, but problem appeared again: (

I would try getting the driver from either the Microsoft Update or through the Device Manger. I've also had problems with a driver from the AMD website. I have a ATI Vapor X 5770 and I got the correct driver through Microsoft Update.
