problem nvidia asus 780 with motherboard gigabyte h61m-s2p

Hello all
I have a new graphic card nvidia asus 780 when i equipped my new card 780 on my motherboard gigabyte h61m-s2p it runs and freezes on the first screen of monitor my power is xfx 550 watt 80 plus bronze
so how to solve this problem??

Did you remove the graphics drivers from the previous card first?

Tradesman1 it doesn't allow me to log in my pc .... just the first screen is freezed no more

Can you boot into Safe Mode

Try putting the old GPU in and see if it boots, if it does remove all the old GPUs drivers

is it low power supply?incompatibility between 780 and the motherboard?

GPU is okay w/ mobo, might be low on power I like a min of a 600 PSU for a 780

my friend tried 550watt and it works

Did you try the old GPU? Have you tried with the onboard graphics, ifit works w/ that go to BIOS and check if Primary graphics is set to PCI-E or PEG

i tried onboard graphic it works but the screen is freezed no button works just motherboard rightmark
