Hello I have a problem that occurs mostly (if not always) on websites with playing video. My screen becomes wierd, with many colored lines see here image and here second image
Sometimes I can manage to get out of this situation without shutting the computer down but the image on screen becomes awful. What is this? Does not look like a pure CPU crash for me since I can recover my data after booting.

Solution
Hey asof

Please check the following, in order; (It looks like you're using a desktop and not a laptop, is this correct?)

1. Cable between your screen and computer. Unplug it and make sure no pins are bent. Try wiggling it around to see if you can make it go away. (weird screen) And at last try with a different screen cable, from a friend or something.

2. Try with a different screen.

3. It could be your graphics card, although just getting another one to test isn't easy. But it's a possibility.

4. Your memory could be faulty and causing the issue (unlikely) but worthy to mention. If you can as a last resort, test your graphics card and RAM. You can even plug it into someone else's computer to see if you get the issue.

Good luck :)

Hello the thing about the cable is very clever, didn't think about it really. It's old and it has been tortured... that might be it. Also I forgot to mention, my CPU is OCed can we totally reject that possibility about the CPU doing that since it's not a 'real' crash like the ones I used to know.. Thanks!
