Problem resetting computer

Hey everyone... serious problem here.. so I built a pc about 4 months ago and it's been running perfectly since. My wife has been playing the sims on it and then one day it wouldn't load the sims so she shut it off and when she turned it back on, the computer said that there was a problem restarting the computer and every time I tried to reset it, it said problem resetting, so I don't know what to do.. I've tried reinstalling windows 8 but it's telling me that it cant be installed to any of the drives that I have... Someone help please!!
