I have been given an MSI H87-G43 Gaming Motherboard and i am having a problem setting the date and time.I have tried several different/branded wired keyboards both usb and the older version, and have found that with all of them the TAB key doesn't work, nor does the + key, so im stuck in year 2013!

Can anyone help me with this problem and is there any way round it?Has anyone else had this same problem? michael

BTW - you can boot from windows installation media into command prompt (press Shift+F10)
and change date with date command.

Note - if BIOS battery is dead, then date settings will not get saved and will reset after each reboot.
tks BTW ive already changed the bios battery Does booting From Command promp using shift+F10 apply to a new installation nb already have windows on hard drive? and does it apply to allwindows versions? tks

Yo
Does booting From Command promp using shift+F10 apply to a new installation nb already have windows on hard drive? and does it apply to allwindows versions? tks
You already have windows installed?
Then - why can't you change date from within windows?

System date is not saved in windows.
Motherboard has internal clock, that holds system date/time settings and tracks time.
