I installed windows 10 using a thumb drive to my SSD (Samsung SSD 850 EVO). However it won't launch at all until after I went into the BIOS, and I changed the changed the boot device control to UEFI only and changed the boot order from starting with windows boot to instead just booting straight from the SSD. After I did that the computer finally would show the windows loading screen with the spinning wheel and message saying, "Getting devices ready." It loaded 100% and then stated that it was going to restart. Then when it restarted it wouldn't show any windows related items at all. After the option to launch the BIOS went away, the only thing on the screen was darkness and one small white underscore flashing as if I could type something, or it just shows the windows symbol with no spinning wheel. Let me know if there is some sort of mistake I am making in the BIOS, or if someone knows some sort of quick fix.

Welcome, paulgh95!

Your issue is most likely indicating that the system cannot detect the OS installed on your SSD. I'd recommend you to try reinstalling Windows on it, but this time, make sure you have all your other secondary HDDs and storage devices unplugged from the system (otherwise you might encounter an OS confusion which would also cause you some booting problems). I'd also advise you to try resetting BIOS and see if that will detect the OS SSD properly. However, the BIOS settings will go back to factory defaults, so you'd need to reconfigure them after the reset.

If that still doesn't help, you should attempt a boot repair from the Windows 10 installation CD or create a USB recovery drive.

Hope this works. Best of luck! :)
